With the nice weather, many of us are spending more time doing outdoor activities. Who better to join us but our furry family members! But all of this time outdoors can expose our pets to parasites.
Parasites that we commonly find in the Pacific Northwest are round worms, hookworms and whipworms. Parasites can cause many health problems in our pets such as diarrhea, malnutrition in puppies and in some cases can be passed on to humans.
The easiest way to detect whether your pet has parasites is to bring in a fecal sample to your Veterinary office for a screening. To make this endeavor more fun we are running a raffle for a Keurig, during the month of September. We will place your name in a drawing when you bring in a fecal sample for your pet to be screened. The raffle starts September 1st and ends September 30th, one entry per pet please. Please call the clinic if you have any questions at 425-228-1002.
